Online Christmas Charities Fair raises more than £11,500 for Right4Children

The annual Christmas Charities Fair normally takes place in November in the Main Hall but this year moved to an online auction due to Covid-19 restrictions. Parents gave incredibly generously and pupils were hard at work in the lead up to the auction making a fantastic array of handmade goodies to be sold. Auction lots included an apartment in India, a cosy Cotswold cottage, gorgeous narcissi flowers flown in from the Scilly Isles and much more! Pupils prepared scented candles, candlesticks, festive wreaths, bath sets and hand-knitted scarves.

In addition to the online auction, pupils hosted a Charity Fair which took place in a marquee in the school grounds. They had a range of their handmade goods to sell to pupils and staff in a bid to raise further funds for the charity. In the space of half an hour, £581 was raised.

Bryanston’s involvement with a variety of charities is an important aspect of school life and we are most grateful for all the contributions towards the causes we support.

“Last year we raised over £10,000 at the fair and we are so happy to have been able to beat this despite these difficult times. We hope to be able to welcome you back to our Charities Fair in school next year.”
