Music scholar awarded choral scholarship at Queen's College in Oxford
Published: 12 November 2020
Bryanston music scholar Lingling B-S has been awarded a choral scholarship to The Queen’s College Oxford.
Former Salisbury Cathedral chorister and current A2 pupil at Bryanston, Lingling hopes to study music after she leaves school. The choir at Queen’s has been hailed by Classic FM as ‘one of the world’s most renowned choirs’.
Director of Music Xavier Iles commented: “We are all thrilled for Lingling. As well as being a wonderful singer, she is one of the most natural all-round musicians I have ever known. Whether singing, playing the violin, or more recently the bass guitar, she is a fundamental part of so many ensembles here at Bryanston and I know she will prove to be a real asset to Queen’s.”
