IBCP Pupils attend Business Conference at Longleat
Last week, Bryanston IBCP pupils travelled to Longleat to attend a business conference to investigate how digital marketing has changed communication in real-life business.
Over recent years Longleat has proven itself as a pioneering business, launching exciting projects such as the ‘Koala Creek’ exhibit and the ‘Festival of Lights’. Projects such as these have helped Longleat to maintain growth, leading them to adopt a strategy to adapt their brand positioning to the ‘Astonishing Kingdom’. As with any business, adopting a new strategy attracts challenges and Longleat wished to share these experiences with business studies pupils to show real-life examples of the theories they study.
The conference covered a range of topics from branding and marketing strategies to employee recruitment and motivation and offered an insight into the internal and external operations of a successful business.
Bryanston pupils benefitted greatly from the conference and business teacher Mr Bray commented "The conference helped to bring alive the marketing theories we have been teaching our IBCP students. The insight it gave them on how real-life businesses, like Longleat, use the theory to make marketing decisions was really powerful and should help them to contextualise their business studies."
