OB completes gruelling Ironman triathlon in aid of charity robbiesrally
Congratulations to OB Milo Purvis on completing the recent Weymouth Ironman in aid of robbiesrally, a charity set up by his late cousin Robbie, then aged 9, for children who, like himself, had been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Milo undertook the gruelling triathlon, covering a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile cycle and a 26.2-mile marathon, with the goal of raising £5,600 to provide two months of therapy for children with brain tumours at Southampton General Hospital.
In addition to already raising 65% of his target, Milo has also qualified for the 2017 Ironman World Championships in Hawaii.
This is still time to support Milo’s fundraising activities for robbiesrally and you can find out more here.
Congratulations to Milo and we wish him good luck with his fundraising and in next year’s championships.
