Pupils compete in UKMT Junior Maths Team Challenge
Pupils Tom P and Kris K came in at fifth place in the UKMT Junior Maths Team Challenge last week where they had to complete a variety of challenging mathematical problems.
The challenge took place at the Bishop of Winchester Academy in Bournemouth on Thursday 19 April. Bryanston teamed up with two other pupils from Port Regis and achieved fifth place, against 20 other schools in the area.
The challenge consisted of four rounds, with the first being a team challenge to complete as many questions as possible in 45 minutes. The second round was a shuttle, which was particularly challenging as pupils had to get the first question correct in each stage to progress to the next part. The third round was a cross number where each pair in a team were given a different set of clues to piece together and the final challenge was a relay.
Well done to you both.
