BANDS CONCERT

On the final night of term, Bryanston's bands put on a show for the rest of the school in Coade hall.

Minglin Li started the show with an amazing Launchpad track, combining 64 samples and light show within a keypad unit. The evening saw final Coade Hall appearances from our A2 bands, including Doors to Manual, Eleanor Killner, Will Hosford, Georgia Heneage, Theo Dingwall-Main, Oluwadare Candide-Johnston, Harry Moncrieff, Tom Sewart, Rosey Graham, Kathleen Rafferty Oli Dickson, Kristina Beddell and Niamh Simpson. This year's C contribution was particularly strong, with great full band cover versions of Paolo Nuttinti's Scream, and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers' classic song, Californication. Katie Beales deserves a special mention, as she nailed the drums for the former and took lead vocals in the latter! Lotte Thomas also deserves credit for stepping in at the last minute to cover lead vocals beautifully for an A2 Soul band performance of Aretha Franklin's Say a Little Prayer. This year's D band, including Freya Cavender, Sebastian Hartley and Hugo Robert belted out a gutsy version of Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes, aided by George Lodge. Coade hall provided an incredible stage, light show, stunning visuals, animations and live camera work and Tim Pennells ran the live sound flawlessly for the entire day. Thanks as always to Richard Baker for putting the whole event together. The bands all delivered energetic and tight performances and conducted themselves with professionalism.

Congratulations to all involved - what a fantastic end to the term!
