Bryanston to run a series of public workshops as part of Dorset Art Weeks 2021

Our acclaimed Art Department will be running a series of special public workshops for the first time as part of Dorset Art Weeks 2021 (22 May – 6 June).

Four workshops are confirmed:

  • Experimental Drawing, Monday 31 May, 10am-12.30pm
  • Experimental Print-Making, Wednesday 2 June, 10am-12.30pm
  • Ceramics, Friday 4 June, 10am-12.30pm
  • Life Drawing Workshop, Saturday 5 June, 10am-12pm

Our half-day workshops are open to everyone of all ages and skill levels and early booking is advisable. Tickets cost £11 for adults and £6 for children under the age of 16 and can be booked by emailing: BryanstonDAW@bryanston.co.uk.

In addition to running workshops for Dorset Art Weeks, our Art Department will be showcasing their own work in an Open Studio. The artwork on display will comprise an extensive selection of drawings, paintings, prints and sculptures created by our staff.

Head of Art Doug Knight commented: “Running dedicated workshops for all ages is the perfect opportunity to support art development in the local community and to provide budding local artists with the chance to benefit from the diverse range of skills within our team.

“Dorset Art Weeks also provides our talented team with a rare collective opportunity to showcase their skills and latest works to a wider audience. As a new venue on the event’s circuit, we are all delighted to be taking part and really looking forward to welcoming visitors to the studio here at Bryanston.”

In view of safeguarding considerations, our Open Studio will coincide with the half-term holiday and will be open from Saturday 29 May until Sunday 6 June (10am to 4pm).
