Sport in her Shoes Conference

On Tuesday 31 January 2023, we organised a one-day conference, Sport in her Shoes, designed to address issues that are of particular relevance to female athlete and their coaches.

Organised in collaboration with The Well, the full day event was attended by 13-18 year old girls and staff from Queen Elizabeth School, Talbot Heath, Canford School, Milton Abbey School, and King Edward VI School, as well as Bryanston itself.

Topics featured during the day included the development of the female body and mind during puberty, female-centric nutrition, how to develop injury resilience and optimise training as well as maintaining performance during the menstrual cycle. The conference was part of a growing movement to improve the experience of girls and young women in sport.
