Cricket trip to Desert Springs - March 2023

In March, we took eleven pupils to Desert Springs in Southern Spain to embark on a pre-season cricket training camp.

The camp saw an intense schedule of morning and afternoon training sessions, plus two fixtures against the Philip DeFreitas Cricket Academy. Both fixtures - a T20 and a 40 over game were won by Bryanston, and the rapid development of every player really impressed the coaches.

It's rare to have a set of cricket matches where every player makes a telling contribution, but in these matches that was the case. Strong batting performances from Leo C, Kingsley P, Teddy G and Alfie A-I were backed up by quality bowling from Krish S, George B, Henry T, Xander B and Harry B. Tibo B provided energy and cohesion in the field, and it was top run scorer and top with catches, Ranuk J, that came back with the best player accolade.
