Bryanston Sport Conference: The Powerhouse Pupil

The Powerhouse Project and Bryanston School are very excited to invite you to our first Sport Conference focused on empowering women and girls through sport.

Event details

  • 15 March 2024 (9.00am – 4.00pm)
  • For students in Year 8 and above
  • Hosted by Bryanston School
  • £70 per ticket - for an individual
  • £200 per 11 tickets (school package: 10 children plus 1 free teacher)

You will have the opportunity to meet industry-leading women from across Sports Media, Sports Coaching, Sports Business and Sports Wellbeing.

The Powerhouse Project is dedicated to using the power of sport to empower women and through their work they have partnered with some of the biggest powerhouses in sport to make true impact including Nike, The Football Association, Right to Dream and the Global Insititute of Sport.

The Powerhouse Project specialise in creating opportunities and experiences that educate, elevate and enable our community to become leaders, giving them the tools they need to positively impact the lives of others.

Mollie and RosIe Kmita

Mollie and Rose Kmita

Mollie and Rosie are ex-professional footballers turned sports broadcasters, hosts and Co-Founders of The Powerhouse Project. They are trailblazing the way in women’s sport and have recently joined as members of the Bryanston School Advisory Board.

The Powerhouse Project exists to empower, upskill and inspire women in football and beyond, by creating opportunities and experiences to educate and elevate the Powerhouse Community.

On 15 March 2024, The Powerhouse Project will be teaming up with Bryanston School to deliver a unique Sport Summit aimed at inspiring the next generation of young women in the sports industry.

Mollie and Rosie will be utilising their industry experience to lead a sports media masterclass for the young people and guests at the event.

We have been involved in the industry in a variety of roles, from players to broadcasters and business owners and want to show the next generation that anything is possible. Edel McCann

Introducing Edel McCann who is a highly qualified physiotherapist with more than 17 years of experience in women's pelvic health, musculoskeletal injury, and professional sports physiotherapy. 
 
Edel's enthusiasm for sports, which stemmed from her experience of playing competitive netball and participating in triathlon at national school level, motivated her to pursue a career in the field of sports physiotherapy. She has worked with several professional sports teams and athletes, including the Scottish cricket team and the Northern Ireland women's football team.



Edel is the Clinical Lead at Leto Woman in London, which is a centre of excellence for women's health physiotherapy. She is a highly qualified women's health physiotherapist, with a Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Edel is also a Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) member and registered (MCSP) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).  
 
Edel will be utilising her industry experience to lead a well-being masterclass for the young people and guests at the event. "As an advocate for women's health and wellbeing, I am dedicated to empowering and educating women and girls. My goal is to encourage them to prioritise their health and wellbeing, take care of themselves and never settle for less than the best when it comes to their health. Together, we can learn to accept and appreciate our bodies, understand our health, and unlock our full potential in sports and our daily lives''. 

Kylee Parsons 

Kylee Parsons

Kylee is Assistant Academy Director, for FC Nordsjælland Girls.

Kylee will be utilising her industry experience to lead a business masterclass for the young people and guests at the event.

“These young women are the future. I’ve seen the abundance of talent and potential across the world, both on and off the pitch, and we want to show and inspire young women that they have the power to lead and shape the future.”

Ivi Casagrande

Ivi is an ex-professional footballer turned high-performance coach and sports scientist who specialises in strength and conditioning. 
 
Ivi’s recent work includes the United States Youth National Teams and she recently worked with the Brazilian Women’s National Team at the Women’s World Cup last year in Australia and New Zealand. 
 
From 2016 to 2019, Ivi worked with young athletes, serving as the Director of Sports Performance for Redline Athletics in Michigan, USA. She has also previously worked with NWSL side Orlando Pride in the US for two seasons before becoming a Sports Scientist for Brighton Women’s First Team.
 
Currently, Ivi works with Ireland Women’s Football team as their High-Performance Coach and is Lead Sports Scientist Consultant for Lewes FC Women in the Women’s Championship. Ivi is also a Consultant for FIFA and UEFA, helping mentor nations across the world and developing educational resources globally to support football programs.
