Taking place on Sunday 3 March, this year's A2 Charities Weekend is in aid of United World Schools (UWS), a UK-based charity dedicated to improving the lives of some of the world's poorest children through education. They partner with local communities and supporters around the world to teach the unreached.
Our ambition is to build and fund a school for 200 Cambodian children, so our aim is to raise £29,000, 100% of which will fund the project. Once we have raised enough money and created a building plan, a group of us (pupils) will travel to Cambodia in September to help with the construction process. Once the school has been built, it will become Bryanston's legacy school, which UWS will run for future years.
We have connected with the charity at a personal level as we believe that helping children with education will not only improve their childhood, but also will have a direct impact on their futures. The Bryanston family are driven to make a difference and leave a lasting impact on those who are far less fortunate than ourselves.
There will be various entertainment and activities for you to enjoy and help us reach our vision of helping Cambodian children.
Whole School Challenge
This year sees the introduction of a Whole School Challenge, with the idea of ‘uniting’ a Bryanston community, to transform the lives of some of the world’s poorest children. Over 500 members of the Bryanston community have taken on an individual challenge, which range from cycling 50km and running up Snowdon, to hula hooping for an hour. Sponsorship will be gathered over half term and challenges will take place in the week leading up to the A2 Charities weekend.

A2 Family and Friends Lunch
As is the tradition for the A2 Charities Weekend, we are once again hosting an A2 Family and Friends Lunch to which you are warmly invited. It is a great occasion that includes a two-course meal (with two glasses of wine) and afternoon tea on the terrace while enjoying the fantastic Dog Show.
Alongside the high quality of the food served, the lunch is organised and decorated by pupils. Therefore, it is a great opportunity to enjoy an amazing meal and support the year-group members.
Tickets are priced at £30 per head.

With staggering reviews, it will not only provide an afternoon of entertainment for all, but the tickets will also contribute heavily to our total fundraising. This family-friendly event will take place on Sunday 3 March at 5pm in Coade Hall and tickets cost £10. All members of the extended Bryanston family are welcome
Tickets are not being sold through the school, so please purchase your child’s ticket.

Online Art & Photography Exhibition:
Story behind the initiative by Head Girl, Zeynep
Since starting Bryanston, I have developed my passion and talent for art and photography. In fact, along with my visual art lessons, I have been taking photographs from all the cities that I have visited. I took the opportunity of having a strong collection of photographs to benefit my interest in photography and I have even curated my own small exhibition in my home city, Istanbul. The exhibition was a great success with 40 copies of photographs sold and a total of £3,000 pounds raised. The exhibition influenced me to initiate the online art and photography exhibition for the A2 Charities Weekend.
The aim of the online exhibition is not only to raise a sufficient amount of money, but to bring together the incredible art and photography of our talented Bryanston pupils, staff and Old Bryanstonians. Once you have chosen a piece of art or a photograph that you'd like to buy, please email email@example.com with the number of the work.
Once you have received email confirmation, you will then be able to pay for the item in one of three ways:
Placing a donation for the correct amount via our Justgiving page
By cheque, made payable to Bryanston School and with the reference: A2 Charities Art Exhibition written on the reverse
By bank transfer:
Sort Code: 40-12-18
A/C no: 61218093
