We think that there is nothing better than coming to see us and experiencing for yourself the magic of Bryanston Knighton House.
If you would like to arrange a visit, please contact our Admissions team who will be happy to arrange a visit, answer your questions and guide you through our admissions process.
There are a number of ways we’d love to welcome you to Bryanston Knighton House.
Open Morning visitors will have the chance to look round the prep school and pre-prep with some of our pupils, meet with staff and with our Headmaster, Will Lockett. There will also be various events going on for the children including meeting our beloved ponies, sporting challenges and various hands-on activities, so your children really enjoy their morning.
In addition, Open Working Mornings are held throughout the year which are an opportunity to see the school in action. These are a popular way to visit and experience a normal working morning at Bryanston Knighton House.
Our next Open Mornings will take place on Friday 11 February 2022 and Friday 6 May 2022. Our doors open from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
Please do get in touch with our Admissions team to find out more 01258 452065 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is an opportunity to meet and speak with our Headmaster, Will Lockett who will take you round the School to ensure you see as much as possible. We are always conscious of time pressures for visiting families, so do please let us know how long you have for the visit and if there is any particular aspect of the School, or department, you would especially like to visit, so we can tailor your visit accordingly.
To arrange a personal visit, please contact our Admissions Team on 01258 452065 or email: email@example.com
Having seen the School in action on a visit, we would always encourage your child to come for a ‘taster day’ or ‘taster boarding night’, or both! These give your child an opportunity to ‘try out’ the School for themselves. We ensure that they are looked after by an assigned ‘shadow’ for the day, someone who might already know your child or who has something in common with them, to help with the bonding process. We normally find children have had a wonderful day after a tester session and definitely want to come back again! Contact our Admissions Team to arrange.
Children may join at any point during the academic year, when there are places available. Our small classes ensure that all new arrivals are made to feel welcome and are able to integrate quickly and easily. They and you will soon feel very much part of the Bryanston Knighton House community.
It’s really important to us that we help you every step of the way and guide you through every possible detail where no question is off limits.
We understand that circumstances change all the time so we are always as flexible and accommodating as possible about accepting children. Please do ask if you are considering placing your child with us at any point during the year not just the usual entry times which tend to be at the start of each term.
Registration can take place at any time but early registration is recommended in order to secure a place. A registration form should be completed and the appropriate registration fee paid. If a particular year group is full, children will be placed on a waiting list.
Our Admissions Registrar will write to you with details of the deposit and when it is due to secure your child’s place at Bryanston Knighton House. The balance of this deposit is refundable after the deduction of any outstanding charges following your final account. The deposit is not refundable if your child does not take up the place.
Although Bryanston Knighton House is a non-selective school, it’s important to us that that your child will be able to flourish at Bryanston Knighton House, so we pay particular attention to their report and reference from their previous school as well as on meeting them when they visit. We will also invite them to take part in some form of assessment before they arrive, so we are informed of their academic ability. The type of assessment varies depending on entry point.
Entry points to Bryanston Knighton House
Whilst the main entry points to the Prep School are at 7+ (NC Year 3) and 11+ (NC Year 7), places are often available in the intervening year groups.
We understand that it is not always possible to join at the beginning of the academic year and on occasions pupils join at the beginning of the Lent and Summer terms. We aim to be as flexible as possible.
We look forward to warmly welcoming you to Bryanston Knighton House.
