Boys' hockeyFixtures and Results
Boys' hockey at Bryanston has developed greatly in recent years whilst raising the profile of the sport at school. Fielding 13 competitive teams, boys' hockey is one of the largest accommodating games on offer. We are extremely fortunate at Bryanston to have two astroturf pitches, which allow each team to train three times a week. The hockey coaches, many of whom are very experienced, are focused on providing varied and in-depth coaching programmes. The fixture card in the local area is of the highest standard and Bryanston is one of six mainstream hockey schools who play in the Wessex League for Independent Schools.
Each season the senior boys' houses compete in the annual house hockey tournament which, although an enjoyable event, is taken seriously by the boys and consequently the standard is very impressive.
There is also an annual game between the D houses, Beechwood and Cranborne, for house hockey bragging rights.

Number of Teams
All boys have the availbility of two astro turfs, one grass field and the use of the indoor court in the sports centre. Training times are arranged to allow teams three games days a week. Bryanston boys are privileged enough to have some outstanding coaches who have played and coached to high levels in a number of countries including England, South Africa and Australia.
In recent years we have seen a number of boys picked for both county and regional sides and this increases year on year. We are determined to help boys reach their full potential with regards to hockey and actively encourage participation in the England Hockey single system.
