Talking about race
The Death of George Floyd on 25 May 2020 was the catalyst for a worldwide re-focus on the Black Lives Matter Movement. Protests in the USA were swiftly followed by protests in the UK and a chain of debate regarding race set in motion across institutions in the UK. The prioritisation of these conversations is, perhaps, long overdue and, as a school community, it is right that we should be examining and educating ourselves. Education, understanding and reflection are important pre-cursors to action in the fight against racism.
This part of the website highlights a broad range of resources that can be accessed by the school community and includes material that is currently used in our teaching as well as contributions in the form of websites, literature, films, blogs, staff recommendations and podcasts.
