Ian McClary

Former Head of Sixth Form

Ian McClary was Head of Sixth Form and the School’s LGBT lead for eight years, having taught previously at Repton School in Derbyshire, where he was Head of English.

Whilst at Bryanston he managed the School’s successful application for Stonewall’s Gold School Champion Award, and delivered talks and training about LGBT awareness and inclusion at other schools around the country. He moved in September 2019 to Sherborne Girls to take up the post of Deputy Head (Co-curricular and Planning), where his work in LGBT awareness and inclusion continues.
