B Scholars' concert, autumn 2016

The B Scholars’ concert took place on Wednesday 5 October 2016 in the Elder Concert Hall. The concert has to go down as one of the most impressive B Scholars’ Concerts in memory, as all of the pupils performed with such an expressive musical language, it provided the audience with a very moving and beautiful experience – well done to all of the musicians.

Sumei BS performed on three studies – voice, piano and flute. She performed Wie Melodien zieht es mir by Brahms, Danse Bohémienne by Debussy and Telemann’s Fantasia no. 2 from Twelve Fantasias for Flute. Clara W played Sonatina: Lento, quasi andante on the clarinet by Horowitz. Frederick F played Sonata in E BWV 1016: 2nd movement by Bach using his new Baroque bow. Luca S performed the piano piece, June from The Seasons Op.37 by Tchaikovsky and Kate S ended the concert with Piazzola’s Oblivion on the violin. Thanks to all of the performers and the two accompanists, William Ings and Graham Scott.
