Held under heatwave conditions, the third buffet lunch at the regatta was another resounding success.
Building upon experience from the two previous lunches in 2016 and 2017, the joint super team of bursary, catering and development staff excelled once again in meeting the challenge of providing lunch for over one hundred guests. Through a combination of meticulous planning, hard work, efficient service and good humour the team delivered an array of delicious food and much-needed copious supplies of liquid refreshment. OBs, pupils from four year groups, families, staff and guests all enjoyed the fare and the convivial company of the Bryanston Family, Et Nova Et Vetera. At the mid-afternoon break, we were further provided with cream teas, cakes, hot and cold drinks, and yet more conviviality.
The Henley Royal Regatta lunch and tea at the Cricket Field has become an annual event and has established itself as a social focal point for all Buffaloes, whether they are crew, families, staff or OB rowers.
