Tagus Quartet

On Wednesday 22 March, Tagus Quartet from the Royal Academy of Music visited Bryanston to hold a string quartet masterclass.

The three Bryaston chamber groups thoroughly enjoyed the expertise Tagus Quartet shared. In the evening, we were treated to a performance of Haydn's String Quartet in F minor op 20, no 5 and Beethoven's String Quartet op 18, no 3. Their playing was sublime and full of integrity and it is no surprise that the quartet has won awards, including 1st prize in the annual Wolfe Wolfinsohn String Quartet Competition and were the recipients of the Royal Academy's most prestigious award for chamber music in 2015.
