Flute and Saxophone Recital

A2 musician Eleanor (flute) gave a joint recital with the Senior Saxophone Quartet on Wednesday 3 June  at 8.15pm in the Recital Room.

Eleanor started the concert with ‘Danse de la Chevre’ by Honegger. She followed this with Bach’s ‘Suite in B minor’ - V: Polonaise, VI: Minuet, VII: Badinerie. The Saxophone Quartet (Bertrand Ellison-Wright, Rosemary Graham, Kathleen Rafferty and Patrick Yeates) performed ‘Premier Quatuor: Allegro’ by Singelée and ‘Bannocks O' Bearmeal’ by Harvey. They ended their section with ‘Fly Me To The Moon’, Howard arr. Gale. Eleanor returned to play a brilliant finisher to the concert ‘Variations on a theme of Rossini’ by Chopin.

All of these pupils have given a very great deal to music in their time at Bryanston – so hearty thanks to them all, but especially the A2 leavers – Eleanor, Rosie, Kath and Pat. They have all represented Bryanston on numerous occasions outside of School and the five years they have given has been exemplary to all who follow in their footsteps.
