C and D Music Scholars Concert

The C and D Music Scholars joined forces to perform a superb fundraising concert at St. Stephen’s Church, Kingston Lacy on Wednesday 20 May at 7.30pm.

Rory Highnam began the concert with a performance on the piano of Habanera by Halfler. Luca Sorrentino played Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto in Eb, 2nd movement, Andante. India Syms performed Menuet Capricieux by Carse. Clara Wessely played the 2nd movement (Rondo) of Deuxième Solo, Op. 10 by Klosé. Frederick Frostwick performed the 2nd movement (Allegro maestoso) of Dvoƙák’s Four Romantic Pieces, Op. 75. Lotte Thomas sang The Turtle Dove by Vaughan Williams. Katharine Simpson leapt to the stage to perform Méditation by Massenet. Bertrand Ellison-Wright played Saint-Saëns’ Sonata in Eb, Op. 167, II. Allegro animato. Samantha Hoang played Syncopation on the violin by Kreisler. Sumei Bao-Smith performed the 1st movement (Allegretto) of Suite de Trois Morceaux, Op. 116 by Godard.
