b MUSIC SCHOLARS CONCERT

On 3 October our hugely talented B Music Scholars gave a concert in the Mark Elder Concert Hall.

The evening started with Capuzzi’s beautiful Andante played on the tuba by Theodore B. Then William S sang Ho Capito from Mozart’s Don Giovanni, followed by Iona M’s first performance of the night – the piano piece Valse Lente by Merikanto. Lingling BS sang Head’s Nocturne before William returned with a rousing rendition of Clarke’s Prince of Denmark’s March on his trumpet. Iona then showcased her cello playing with Adoration by Borowski before Lingling brought the evening to a close with an infectious performance of the opening Allegro molto e con brio from Kabalevsky’s Concerto in C for violin.

Congratulations to all the performers and thank you to the accompanists Christina Scott, Graham Scott and Matthew Shenton.
