Pupils mark Ascension Day
Bryanston pupils marked Ascension Day by attending either a church service led by the School Chaplain or an assembly given by Head of History of Art.

The School Chaplain, Reverend Canon Haviland, led the church service in St Martin's, while Head of History of Art, Mr Lyne, discussed how Western and Eastern Christian societies have viewed the body in religious art during his assembly. He looked at reliquary shrines, the Crucifixion, entombment, Ascension, the Second Commandment (against images) and, ultimately, the religious underpinnings for modern abstract painting.
