Bryanston benefactors enjoy private lecture
Toby Sedgwick (F ’72), actor, theatre choreographer and movement director, wowed Bryanston Benefactors at a private lecture held this week at the Army and Navy Club in London.
Toby enthralled guests with his talk that outlined his personal journey studying acting and theatre movement since leaving Bryanston at 16. From Paris to New York to London’s West End, Toby has pushed the boundaries in pursuit of perfecting the craft of movement in theatre.
So enamoured were the guests with his stories from behind the scenes of critically-acclaimed War Horse and the challenges of choreographing 1,000 volunteers in secret for the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics, that the 45 minute talk stretched into an hour, and still no one wanted to leave their seat.
Afterwards, everyone adjourned to the relaxing ambience of the club’s Ladies Drawing Room to socialise over drinks and canapés.
We would like to thank Toby for a truly wonderful evening.
