Bryanston geographers are Dorset champions again
Many congratulations to the team of Bryanston geographers who last term won the Dorset round of the annual Geographical Association Worldwise quiz for the third year running.
The quiz is a competition for pupils in years 9 and 10, designed to promote pupil interest in geography and to raise the profile of the subject within schools. The quiz provides an opportunity for pupils to demonstrate their geographical knowledge, understanding and skills. In the 2014 competition there were nine rounds, covering topics such as rivers of the world, UK landmarks, OS map skills and general geographical knowledge. The Bryanston team of Oscar Verdon, Rupert Bennett and Rory Dodd, led convincingly from start to finish against some very tough competition.
Bryanston will be hosting the 2015 competition in the autumn and we hope to keep this great record running on home turf!
