OB develops A level project into a new business

Rufus has combined his design and entrepreneurial skills to set up the Hanging Tent Company, which is now producing the Roomoon, the only portable hanging tent of its kind.

Head of Design and Technology at Bryanston, Chris Mills, commented, 'I’m delighted to hear that Rufus has decided to develop his innovative A level project further and make a business out of it. He was a highly valued member of the department and it’s fantastic to see him set a terrific example to other young designers.'

While at Bryanston, Rufus spent a lot of his time in both the design and technology, and art departments. On his website it states that Rufus ‘attended Bryanston school where he was allowed to expand, building and creating all manner of brilliant things’. Indeed, several of his ‘brilliant things’ can still be seen around the school, including an impressive six-foot metal sculpture that Rufus designed and created for his A level art project.

With coverage in the Sunday Times Home Magazine and a number of specialist camping and glamping websites, it looks like Roomoon is already making its mark. We wish Rufus every success with his business and look forward to hearing more about the Hanging Tent Company in the future.
