Bryanston pupils create playground equipment for local primary school

Congratulations to four A2 pupils who each designed and built an incredible playground installation for Durweston Primary School.

As part of their Design and Technology A level project, A2 pupils are required to source real client-based projects – quite a difficult challenge. This year, four pupils were fortunate enough to have contact with Durweston Primary School through Bryanston’s Design and Technology teacher, Martin Bolton.

After working extremely hard, dedicating many hours to designing and creating their products, four spectacular projects were produced. The pupils have donated the following installations to Durweston Primary School:

  • Ben H – Design and Technology shed to encourage practical project work
  • Ellis B – a sand pit shed with pull-out draw
  • Will B – a climbing frame pirate ship with slide
  • Archie L – an archway with an interactive water feature

Head of Design and Technology Chris Mills said. “We are incredibly proud of these four pupils, who have committed to building these impressive and ambitious projects. It is a delight to see them installed and being used in the playground by Durweston pupils and we hope they will be used for a long time to come”

Our thanks must go to Sydenhams for their generous contribution of the timber used in these projects.
