Reunion for the classes of 1957, 1967 and 1977
On Sunday 8 October, over 50 OBs, former staff, friends and family returned to Bryanston for this wonderful occasion.
It was a lovely autumnal day and some OBs decided to join the Reverend Canon Andrew Haviland for the school’s church service. We then all came together for a drinks reception and canapes under the dome in the main school. This gave OBs a chance to meet up with old friends, former teachers and to show their friends and family photos of when they were at school from the archive displays. Everyone also had a chance to see the school's new merchandise that was available.
At 1pm, everyone moved into Cowley for lunch, and what a lovely setting. The fire was lit and with the amazing view looking out over the pond and tennis courts, it was just perfect. The Head, Sarah Thomas, then took a moment to welcome everyone back to Bryanston, to update them on the changes around school and how they can remain involved through Beyond Bryanston. After hearing from Sarah, everyone tucked into their Sunday lunch provided by the wonderful catering team.
Class group photos then followed. Then it was a chance to meet up with current pupils for a tour of the school, to see their old house (if it still existed) and, for some, even their old dorm or study room. This was also an opportunity for former and current pupils to exchange stories!
We ended the day with afternoon tea.
