OBs perform at Edinburgh Fringe Festival

Demonstrating the Bryanston trait of independence and initiative, Angus L (Shaftesbury '16) finished his gap year in a memorable way.

Inspired by his A level subjects of Classical Civilisation, Drama and Classics, Archie wrote a modern version of Electra by Euripides over his gap year. With fellow OBs George H and Alma OE (class of 2016) Angus then formed a company - Aristeia - with a group of students from Manchester University and took the play to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The OBs gained a really positive response from FringeReview, which is not easy to do. FringeReview marked the play as a 'Hidden Gem' of the festival. You can read the review here.

Bryanston's Director of Dance and Drama, Miss Quan, travelled to Edinburgh to watch the play and was thoroughly proud and impressed with all they achieved. She said "This is a great example of how to spend a gap year productively, how to follow your dreams and make things happen and how to take advantage of all Bryanston has to offer!"

Well done to these OBs and we wish them the best of luck for the future.
