Blitz Roadshow at Bryanston

The Blitz Roadshow has been designed to get information across to young people in a way that they can relate and respond to. The sessions were fun and interactive and included:

• Last Orders – an educational play developed specifically to tackle alcohol-related issues amongst young people. This was followed by a workshop dealing with themes from the play.

• Last Orders Workshop – a session delivered by the play director that pulls apart the play, breaking down emotional and social behaviours, laws, and their responsibilities.

• Police Workshop – a session highlighting the consequences of the alcohol-related anti-social behaviour that the Police deal with.

• Fire Workshop – a session highlighting the consequences of alcohol-related anti-social behaviour which affect the Fire Service, such as arson, hoax calls and misuse of fireworks.

• Shadows EDAS Workshop – a project for young people relating to drug and alcohol misuse and addictions.

Jo Simpson, Head of PSRE at Bryanston, said, “This has been a great session for the pupils involved. They have gained an insight into the wide-ranging impact alcohol and anti-social behaviour can have.”
