A2 joint recital is a wonderful start to the term
Published: 2 May 2017
The summer term music concert programme got off to a super start with an A2 recital by Poppy H and Harri J.
Harri began the concert with a beautiful performance of Elgar’s Where Corals Lie. She then handed over to Poppy who performed Debussy’s well known Arabesque No 1 and Grovlez's Berceuse de La Poupée. Harri then sung again, performing I Never Knew His Name by Wildhord and Purcell’s Music for a While, capturing the text beautifully. Poppy returned to the piano to perform Brubeck’s lively and complex Blue Rondo à la Turk before the final number in which the girls performed Etta James’ classic At Last, which they first performed together in the C year, and brought the concert to an enjoyable end.
