C Scholars' Concert

On Wednesday 2 November, the C Scholars' Concert was held in the Elder Concert Hall, where the musicians performed solo for the very first time.

May P started the concert with the piano piece Sonata Op. 27 No. 2: 1st movement by Beethoven. Nikk L sang Waft her, angels through the skies by Handel. Daniel L performed Corelli’s Prelude and Allamanda from Sonata in G minor on the trombone. May returned to sing Lascia Ch'io Pianga by Handel. Poppy OE, a new addition to the list of scholars, played Sarabande in G minor by Bohm on the violin. Luke S ended the concert with Prelude and Carol from Five Bagatelles by Finzi.

This was the first time these musicians performed solo in the concert hall and they should be very proud of themselves.

Thanks as always to the accompanists Matthew Shenton and Graham Scott.
