Bryanston's Annual String Competition

On Tuesday 23 February, the string competition took place in the Elder Concert Hall.
OB and professional violinist, Vicky Sayles, adjudicated the competition and gave helpful and very positive feedback to all the pupils who took part. There were four classes over the course of the afternoon. Rosanagh B (violin) won the open string class grades 1-5, Elsa W (cello) won the open string class grades 5+, Kate S (violin) and Freddie F (violin) were joint winners of the advanced scholars class and Johannes R (violin) won the post grade 8 class.
Vicky was very impressed by the high standard of all the participants and awarded Highly Commended to Charlotte B (viola), Letitia H (harp), Christopher A (violin), Derek N (violin), Isobel M (violin), Harry EW (cello) and Evie C (cello). The following pupils were Commended: Violet W (cello), Annie FH (cello) and Anthony H (guitar).
