D Scholars Concert 2016

The first D Music Scholars' Concert took place on 27 January in the Recital Room.

This was the first time D pupils had performed as soloists at a Scholars’ Concert and they all performed with professionalism and great ability, providing the appreciative audience with a lovely evening of music.

Nikolas L began the concert with the trumpet piece Sarabande from Sonata by Hubeau. May P performed Arietta by Grieg on the piano. Luke S played Weber’s Concerto No.1 in F minor - 3rd movement: Rondo on the clarinet. Nikolas L returned to perform Golliwogg's Cakewalk by Debussy on the piano. May returned, this time with the trumpet piece Aria by Peeters. Daniel L finished the concert with the trombone piece, Aria by Pergolesi.

Thank you to all of the new D Scholars and the accompanists Caroline Clipsham, Graham Scott and Matthew Shenton.
