Holiday courses

In line with the Government’s announcement, we are delighted our activity courses will be going ahead this summer. Some changes may need to be implemented to ensure the safety of the children and adults taking part, and our staff running the courses, but further information will be sent to attendees in due course. We look forward to welcoming your child (or you) on one of the courses below and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

The aim of our holiday courses is to provide a combination of focus and fun so that your child can enjoy themselves, make new friends, and at the same time improve their individual sporting talents.

Bryanston's 400 acres are an impressive setting for the sports courses and include extensive playing fields bordered by the river Stour. The new sports hall provides excellent facilities. Overall the grounds, combined with the superb indoor and outdoor facilities Bryanston has to offer, provides the perfect environment for participants to focus on developing their skills and enjoy their sport.

We offer a wide range of courses to keep you or your child occupied throughout both the Easter and Summer holidays. There is something for everyone so don't delay, book your holiday course now.

We also accept Childcare vouchers from certain providers for our courses. For further information, please contact us using the link.

Important information

Safety and Supervision
The safety of the children is of paramount importance.  All coaches have professional coaching qualifications.  Coaching will be in groups small enough to ensure individual attention but large enough to enable the children to practise unit skills.  All other physical activities will be supervised by appropriately qualified staff.  When not being coached, the children will be in the care of experienced staff who will look after all aspects of welfare and enjoyment as well as providing a sympathetic ear when required.

Meals and Refreshments

All meals will be provided in the Dining Hall where there is a variety of healthy options, both hot and cold, including a salad bar. Snacks and drinks can be purchased from our Café. There will be refreshments breaks between coaching sessions. All players are asked to bring a water bottle with them.

Activities
In addition to the high level of coaching the children are also given the opportunity to participate in other activities.  This not only gives them the chance to experience a range of pursuits but also provides a break from the main sport interest.Activities may include kayaking on the river, climbing on our superb purpose-built climbing tower, squash, swimming and badminton.

Dress Code and Equipment
A full kit list for each sport will be provided prior to the start of the course.  Suitable attire for each course will need to be worn with children bringing their own cricket bat, tennis racket, hockey stick as appropriate.  For the riding course participants need to have their own horse/pony.

If you have any questions, please contact Sam Tonks on 01258 484677.

Summer Riding Course (Adults)

Thursday 05 August 2021 - Sunday 08 August 2021

We are excited to announce another fun-filled adult riding camp held at Bryanston School’s Equestrian Centre.

We look forward to welcoming you and your horse to our stunning centre for a four-day course this summer. During the course, riders will enjoy training with our positive, sympathetic, and knowledgeable coaches where you will be working on dressage and show-jumping along with the chance to jump around our cross-country schooling field.

Outside of lessons, you will be able to make the most of our fabulous local hacking and interesting stable management lessons or you might like to make the most of some peace and quiet and read your book in the sun.

On the Friday afternoon we will welcome Claire Speer, a list 2 British Dressage Judge. Claire’s ability with young horses is evidenced by her phenomenal competition record, and her coaching style is upbeat and inspirational, with a focus on correct riding… we are very lucky! Claire will enable participants to ride through the test of their choice and provide feedback and ideas to improve their scores.

Our ‘camp’ will be residential for both horses and riders. We will offer real comfort after your day in the saddle and our catering team is superb! You will enjoy one ‘Gala’ dinner evening and one early evening Pilates session. The pool and gym will also be available for you to enjoy. The horses will stay in our stunning yard and will be able to enjoy limited turnout whilst here. We will also provide wrapped hay and bedding (hemp) for your horse’s stay. Please bring all hard feed and tools for mucking out.

The main aim of this long weekend is for riders to enjoy some relaxed, fun training with their horses. We want all riders to feel comfortable and confident whatever their favourite discipline might be.
