Holiday Courses

COVID-19: GUIDELINES FOR VISITORS

The safety and security of Bryanston staff, students and our audience is of paramount importance and we take this responsibility very seriously. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic we have decided to cancel the majority of our Summer holiday courses. However, we are still planning to run our equestrian courses over the Summer season.

*Please note that the course dates have changed for two of the equestrian courses.

The aim of our holiday courses is to provide a combination of focus and fun so that your child can enjoy themselves, make new friends, and at the same time improve their individual sporting talents.

Bryanston's 400 acres are an impressive setting for the sports courses and include extensive playing fields bordered by the river Stour. The new sports hall provides excellent facilities. Overall the grounds, combined with the superb indoor and outdoor facilities Bryanston has to offer, provides the perfect environment for participants to focus on developing their skills and enjoy their sport.

We now accept Childcare vouchers from certain providers for our courses. For further information, please contact us using the link below:

If you have any questions, please contact Sam Tonks and Cyril Hawes on 01258 484677.

Important information

Safety and Supervision
The safety of the children is of paramount importance.  All coaches have professional coaching qualifications.  Coaching will be in groups small enough to ensure individual attention but large enough to enable the children to practise unit skills.  All other physical activities will be supervised by appropriately qualified staff.  When not being coached, the children will be in the care of experienced staff who will look after all aspects of welfare and enjoyment as well as providing a sympathetic ear when required.

Meals and Refreshments

All meals will be provided in the Dining Hall where there is a variety of healthy options, both hot and cold, including a salad bar. Snacks and drinks can be purchased from our Café. There will be refreshments breaks between coaching sessions. All players are asked to bring a water bottle with them.

Activities
In addition to the high level of coaching the children are also given the opportunity to participate in other activities.  This not only gives them the chance to experience a range of pursuits but also provides a break from the main sport interest.Activities may include kayaking on the river, climbing on our superb purpose-built climbing tower, squash, swimming and badminton.

Dress Code and Equipment
A full kit list for each sport will be provided prior to the start of the course.  Suitable attire for each course will need to be worn with children bringing their own cricket bat, tennis racket, hockey stick as appropriate.  For the riding course participants need to have their own horse/pony.

Summer Riding Course (Adults)

Friday 07 August 2020 - Sunday 09 August 2020

We are excited to announce the first adult riding camp to be held at Bryanston School Equestrian Centre.

We look forward to welcoming you and your horse to our stunning centre. We will enjoy a three day “camp” where you will enjoy training with our positive, sympathetic and knowledgeable coaches. We will work on dressage and show jumping along with the chance to jump around our cross-country schooling field.

During lessons, you will be able to make the most of our fabulous local hacking, and interesting stable management lessons. On the Saturday, we will welcome Claire Speer, a list 2 British Dressage Judge; Claire’s ability with young horses is evidenced by her phenomenal competition record. Her coaching style is upbeat, inspirational and focused on correct riding…we are very lucky! Claire will enable participants to ride through the test of their choice and provide feedback and ideas to improve their scores.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to offer accommodation for the camp. Our camp will be residential for your horse but not for riders. The horses will stay in our stunning yard and will be able to enjoy limited turnout whilst here. We will provide wrapped hay and bedding (hemp) for your horse's stay. Please bring all hard feed and tools for mucking out.

The main aim of this long weekend is for riders to enjoy some relaxed, fun training with their horses. We want all riders to feel comfortable and confident whatever their favourite discipline might be!
