Bryanston School Hong Kong Music Auditions

Bryanston School Hong Kong Music Auditions

Tuesday 16, Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 April 2019

At Melos Music Studios,  101 Leighton Road, Causeway Bay, HK

Founded in 1928, Bryanston School is located in the southwest of the UK and is for pupils aged 13-18.

Music is woven through our creative school community. We aim to develop the musical leaders of tomorrow by fostering a love of music, independent practice skills and encouraging high levels of engagement. Our unrivalled facilities are designed to inspire talented musicians, of which, famous former pupils include Sir John Eliot Gardiner and Sir Mark Elder.

We are holding auditions for Year 9 entry in 2019 (boys), and Year 9 and Year 12 entry in 2020 (boys and girls). Each audition will last 30 minutes. Candidates should be prepared to play two pieces on their first study instrument and at least one piece on subsequent instruments (if applicable). We are particularly interested to meet string players who are committed to developing their musical skills in the UK. The auditions may be recorded for use only by Bryanston School. An accompanist will be provided.  The auditions will be with Director of Music, Stephen Williams, and Assistant Director of Music, Xavier Iles.

You are warmly invited to join us and three of our outstanding current pupils in a concert on Thursday 18 April at 7pm, at The Eaton Club, 5/F, Champion Tower, 3 Garden Road, Central. Admission is free. For additional information contact: music@bryanston.co.uk
