Bryanston pupils join Salisbury Cathedral School for an afternoon of string chamber music

On Tuesday 31 January, Bryanston String Chamber Orchestra travelled to Salisbury Cathedral School (SCS). During their visit the group spent time rehearsing a collaborative piece called La Cumparsita by Rodriguez with pupils from SCS.

The culmination of the afternoon was a concert consisting of Bryanston String Chamber Orchestra performing movements from Britten's Simple Symphony, which was interspersed with two solo items played by Kate on the violin and Evie on the cello and a movement from Shostakovich's piano quintet. To conclude, Bryanston String Chamber and string players from SCS joined forces in a performance of La Cumparsita.
