Pupils achieve fantastic results in British Physics Olympiad

Bryanston pupils who took part in last term's A2 British Physics Olympiad are celebrating their results, which have recently been released.

Towards the end of last term, Laurie S, Eric H and George O participated in the A2 British Physics Olympiad Round 1. The paper is designed to stretch and challenge the top young physicists in the country in a national competition. Every question is a real challenge, and requires problem-solving skills which must be developed with practice over time.

Eric and George earned Commendations, which reflects strongly on candidates who have been willing to take part in a competition that has such demanding questions and represent a challenge for even the most capable problem-solving physics pupils in the country.

Laurie earned a Bronze I award, which is above the Bronze II award. This means he placed above at least 60% of the candidates who took this paper nationally and shows an impressive performance against very stiff competition.

Well done to all three pupils on their results.

This term preparations will commence for the British Physics Olympiad GCSE and AS challenges.
