A2 music scholars give their last scholars' concert

The A2 Scholars’ Concert took place on Wednesday 28 September 2016 at 8.15pm in the Elder Concert Hall.

The evening started with Poppy H’s performance on the piano of Brubeck’s Strange Meadow Lark. Harriet J sang, Where Corals Lie by Elgar. Eric H performed Sonata in D minor by Berkeley - 1st movement: Allegro ma non troppo. Max H sang Hahn’s A Chloris. Sophia E performed Bach’s Sonata No. 4, Andante; Adagio and Allegro. Evie C ended the concert with a performance of Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1 - 1st movement: Allegro non troppo.

Huge thanks to all of these fine musicians for providing such a fantastic standard of performances for all their five years of Scholars’ Concerts. It has been a pleasure and a privilege witnessing them develop into such excellent musicians. Thanks too, to the two accompanists, Graham Scott and Matthew Shenton.
