Astronomy Club

Using a ETX Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope and the clear air of Dorset enables members of the astronomy club to explore the heavens in the winter evenings.

We are fortunate to have limited light pollution locally and so can enjoy looking at the rings of Saturn or the moons of Jupiter, as well as exploring the Moon’s craters. Plans are afoot to link up with the National Schools Observatory and control online professional telescopes in Hawaii and other locations for even better views.
