Another successful day for Bryanston rugby sevens

On Sunday 6 March Bryanston hosted the eighth annual U18 Bryanston Sevens tournament.

At this year's Bryanston Sevens the 1st VII had another very good day, following on from their success as West of England Champions the week before.

The boys started the day with a 45-14 victory over Downside in the first match with Tom O scoring an incredible five tries. The team followed this by beating Beechen Cliff 26-5 and Truro 40-5 to finish top of their group to reach the semi-finals, where they won 24-5 against Blundell's.

This meant the team had won 11 out of 11 games played so far in this rugby sevens season. The boys faltered in their 12th game, unfortunately succumbing 20-7 to a good Sherborne side in the final.

It was another tremendous day for the Bryanston 1st VII and they played some fantastic rugby, scoring 21 tries in total, setting them up well for the final two competitions of the season.

Huge congratulations to the squad of Roddy D, Luke P, James S, Jack W, Ben W, Frank T, Jamie C, Jack G, Tom O, Macauley Q, Johnny P and Ellis B.
