Rotary Young Musician of the Year
On Saturday 23 January, four Bryanston pupils entered the North Dorset heat of the Rotary Young Musician of the Year Competition.
The four stage national competition is designed to support and ecourage the development of musical talent. Promoted by Rotary International, it is well-established and successful and is open to all types and grades of young instrumentalists and vocalists. The competition aims to offer young people the experience of performing on a public stage and an opportunity to showcase their musical talent.
Each pupil performed a piece chosen by themselves. The winner of the Senior Keyboard class was Cairo F; the Senior Woodwind class, Sophia E and the Senior Strings, Kate S.
The winner of the overall competition was Kate and the overall competition runner up was Sophia who will both be entered into the District Final.
