Outstanding progress for our violinists
We began the term with our biggest string orchestra for years.
Inspired by Mrs Scott (Bryanston Head of Strings) teaching group violin lessons for these last two terms, we now have a healthy number of violinists having individual lessons with Mrs Fraser. Mrs Fraser composes accessible parts for them to play along with our more advanced string players, such as Isabel (viola Gr 4) and Wilf (violin Gr 3).
Outstanding holiday work and progress has been demonstrated by Hawa (singing Gr 4) and Bella (teaching herself a solo song) and by Florrie C and Matilda who composed and recorded their own piano duet. They performed it to us in the first Celebration Assembly of term, along with Mrs Lockett who played us a beautiful Irish fiddle Jig, called Butterfly. Mrs Lockett was star of the week for sheer bravery.
