Intermediate Girls' A team win the Bryanston Cross Country Relays
The Bryanston Intermediate Girls’ A team delivered an outstanding performance at the Bryanston Cross Country Relays, finishing first place overall.
The relays took place on Thursday 27 February at Bryanston. All four girls in the fantastic team completed their leg (2.4km/1.5 miles) within very impressive times:
Madie O – 10:15
Alice S – 10:33
Celia S – 10:42
Emily S – 8:58
We’d like to congratulate the girls for this superb set of results and also give a special mention to their captain, Gabi S, who ran for the Senior A team and completed her leg in 10:44.
Carlos Blanco, in charge of Girls’ Cross Country Running, commented: “Very well done for your excellent results, girls! Winning the Bryanston Relays in the intermediate category is something that we hadn’t achieved in many years and beating the tough opposition of Leweston and Sherborne Girls has never been done before. Hopefully we will be able to reunite the team for the next relays.
“Emily’s fantastic achievements continue as it has today been announced that she is selected to represent England Schools at the World Cross Country Championships in Slovakia in April. She will be part of a team of six – congratulations, Emily!”
