Bryanston ‘pioneers’ build noticeboard for Parish Council

Three B pupils have been involved in constructing a new noticeboard for Bryanston village Parish Council as part of their design and technology ‘pioneers’ project.

Henry H, Charlie E and Bruno B worked with their teacher, Nigel Davies to construct the noticeboard, which consists of four panels made out of oak and glass. It also features a metal roof to help keep off the rain.

Commenting on the project, Carl Conlon from the Parish Council, said:

“The village was in need of a bigger noticeboard due to changes in the law concerning what information we have to publish to our community.

“We have a long-standing relationship with the school, so approached Nigel to ask for his help. He readily accepted and got a few pupils involved as part of their ‘pioneers’ project.  We are delighted with the end result and look forward to getting the noticeboard installed in the village.”

Pioneering has long been part of a Bryanston education and offers pupils the opportunity to give something back to their community and acquire life-long skills.
