IB Diploma pupils reap rewards of hard work

This year’s Bryanston IB pupils have continued the school’s record of impressive IB results in the IB Diploma.

Of the IB cohort of 15 pupils, one third achieved a score of 40 or more, placing them among the top IB pupils worldwide: congratulations to Lauren S gaining 44 points, Elsa K gaining 43 points, Thore G and Kiara P gaining 42 points and George L gaining 40 points.

Overall Bryanston pupils have achieved an average score of 35 out of a possible maximum of 45. While a direct comparison is not easy, a score of 35 is roughly equivalent to four As at A level with a B in an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).

Head Sarah Thomas congratulated all the pupils saying, “I am delighted to hear this year’s fantastic IB results and they should all be incredibly proud. This group of pupils have not only worked hard to gain these results, they have also contributed wholeheartedly to the life of the school throughout their time here. I wish them all the best as they head off into the world and look forward to hearing of their future achievements.”
