Pupils host the Ridgeway Centre for a fun-filled afternoon

Last week A3 pupils welcomed a group from the Ridgeway Centre in Weymouth. Read a report of the afternoon from one of the pupils involved below.

Last Wednesday 11 adults and four carers from the Ridgeway Centre in Weymouth visited Bryanston. Pupils in A3 enjoyed getting to know everyone over lunch which was followed by a drama session. We interacted using plush toys, improvisation and even some noteworthy line dancing! The session was much enjoyed by everybody.

The Ridgeway Centre provides day services for adults with learning difficulties such as autism and mental health conditions. With amazing facilities, including multi-sensory rooms and specialist equipment, they are able to offer support and independence. In addition, they participate in many activities such as music, art, cooking and swimming.

On behalf of the A3 pupils, we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know everyone and we were sad to see them go, but not for too long as next term we intend to carry out an exchange and visit them all in Weymouth!
