Bryanston's Pioneers host art workshops for local primary and prep school pupils

With the help of pupils in A2, A3 and B, Bryanston has been hosting art workshops for local primary and prep school pupils as part of Bryanston’s Pioneering programme.

Throughout the autumn term on Tuesday afternoons, the following schools have visited Bryanston:

  • Pimperne Primary
  • Archbishop Wake Primary
  • Blandford St Mary Primary
  • Port Regis

The art workshops comprise experimental mark making and have been led by Mrs Dean, Teacher of Art at Bryanston. Mrs Dean commented: “The workshops wouldn’t have worked without all the help from the super bunch of eight pupils from A2, A3 and B, and Mrs Pearson, one of our art technicians. It’s been brilliant to collaborate with primary and prep school pupils and I know that my pupils have learnt a lot from the experience of working with younger children.”

Bryanston will continue to welcome local primary and prep schools for art workshops in the coming terms. Here is just some of the feedback to date:

Port Regis
Thanks for your efforts today and the efforts of all your helpers too – they did a great job! It was lovely for my bunch to work in that space, creating fun Art on a different theme. It opened their eyes to what “big school” is like, and now, perhaps it is a slightly less scary prospect!

Pimperne Primary School
The children had such a wonderful experience when they were with you and it has had a big impact!
