Can I decide where my money will go?

The form you submit with your donation allows you to suggest which fund you would like your gift to be directed towards, for example to scholarships and bursaries, for the estate or left unrestricted. Please contact the Development Office if you have a specific interest that is not accommodated by the donation form.

I can only afford a very small donation. Can it really make a difference?

Absolutely. When many people each give a small amount, they can collectively make a big difference, which is why even the smallest gift is highly valuable. If you cannot afford a larger sum in a single gift, why not consider spreading it out over a period of time? However you choose to support Bryanston, all gifts are gratefully received and every one makes a difference.

What happened to Covenants?

Covenants were replaced by the Gift Aid Scheme. A covenant is no longer necessary for reclaiming tax because it is covered by the new Gift Aid Declaration. Existing covenants continue to operate under their normal rules until they expire.

Who is eligible to make a Gift Aid donation?

Anyone who has paid UK tax at least equal to the amount that Bryanston will reclaim in the tax year that the donation is made. The tax you have paid can be income or capital gains tax at any rate. You can use Gift Aid if you are not a UK resident but you must make your gift out of income or capital gains charged to UK tax.

Why do I have to sign a Gift Aid Declaration?

The Declaration is the result of a simplification by the Government of the various forms associated with making a charitable donation. A single Gift Aid Declaration now applies to all gifts you make to Bryanston, whatever the amount and whenever made.

What is the Development Office?

The Development Office was established in April 2002 to develop relationships with Old Bryanstonians, parents and friends and to foster financial support for the School.

Where is the Development Office?

If you are visiting the School, you will find the Office adjacent to the Phillips Room at the Harthan end of the basement corridor. We are open during normal office hours and welcome visitors.
