Over the last thirteen years the School has been engaged in a programme of building new boarding houses and implementing major improvements to existing ones. The primary objective has been to eliminate large dormitories in favour of smaller, comfortable bedrooms that balance privacy and flexibility with the benefits of living as part of a group.

Significant improvements to bathrooms, social spaces, computer networking resources and staff accommodation are all part of the improvement programme.

The renovation of Salisbury House presented particular challenges, given its location in the Main Building, but was successfully completed in 2004. Allan House is the next to undergo major improvements in building work scheduled to begin later this year.
